How much does an environmental monitoring system cost in Egypt?
It depends on the number of sensors and gateways. The price list above shows the current per-item prices in EGP; a small installation of a few sensors with one gateway sits at the low end, while a multi-room facility with a Skärpt HUB, installation and a display HUB is considerably higher. What does the monthly subscription per sensor cover?
Cloud data storage and access to the Skärpt platform for that sensor: live readings, historical trends, alarm rules and reporting. It is charged monthly per sensor and the calculator multiplies it by twelve to show your first-year total.
How many gateways do I need?
As a planning rule, one RF gateway covers roughly 100 m and one IoT gateway roughly 20 m, depending on walls and obstructions. The calculator suggests a count from the sensors you add, and our engineers confirm it during the site survey.
Is the estimate the final price?
No. It is an accurate budgetary estimate built from our current published price list. The binding quotation is issued after a site survey, which confirms sensor placement, cabling runs and any civil work.
Can the system be used for GxP / pharmaceutical storage?
Yes. The platform records continuous time-stamped data with alarm history and exportable reports, which is what GxP temperature-controlled storage requires. Skärpt also performs the thermal mapping and qualification of the same space as a separate accredited service.
Do you install outside Egypt?
Yes. Switch the calculator to the International panel and prices are shown in USD at today's rate. Hardware ships from Egypt and installation outside Egypt is quoted per project.
What happens when a reading goes out of range?
The platform raises an alarm and notifies the assigned users. Adding an IoT siren gives an audible local alert in the room itself.
How long does installation take?
A small installation is typically commissioned in a single visit; larger multi-room sites with cabling and a server rack are scheduled after the survey. Your confirmed timeline is included in the formal quotation issued after payment.
